14 Topics 3 Replies 17 Total Posts A Forum gives users an opportunity to ask questions and provide informational replies about pretty much anything, although we’d prefer you tailor your topics towards anything that can be loosely interpreted to be about motorcycling. NOTE – you must be registered on the forum (easy and free) and logged into the forum to create new Topics or to Post replies to existing Topics. You DO NOT need to be registered or logged in to the Forum to view any of the Topics or posts. At this time Forum registration is open to anyone, not just LOEBMWR members.
A Forum’s structure is similar to that of a file cabinet. The file cabinet contains drawers (Forums), each drawer contains folders (Topics), and each folder contains documents (Posts) specific to the subject of that folder. You cannot create new Forums however you can create new Topics for a category and Post comments or replies within a Topic.
An example might be a Forum (drawer) named Items for Sale, a user may have created a new Topic (folder) in that drawer about selling a GS Windshield including a description, dimensions and selling price. Another user might Post a reply to that Topic asking about where they can view the windshield or if the seller can Post some pictures of the item. Yes…you can add pictures to your Post by following the Posting An Image instructions detailed in this FAQ Forum.
Don’t be afraid to play with the Forum…you can’t break it! You are able to go back and edit your Post or Topic if something doesn’t seem quite right, and you can also delete your Post if you change your mind. If nothing else, visit the Forum to get an idea how it is laid out and functions. When you’re ready, go ahead and create a new Topic or Post a reply to an existing Topic.
