PROGRESSIVE BREAKFAST RIDE AND CLUB MEETING, SUNDAY FEBRUARY 11th, 2024

Our annual Progressive Breakfast ride will take place on Sunday, February 11th, 2024 beginning at 8:30. During the ride we will visit the homes of 3 club members with various breakfast foods and beverages available for consumption. This is a member only event – you can pay your membership dues at one of the 3 stops.

At the last home we will hold a club meeting and be done about 1:00 leaving you plenty of time to make it to a Superbowl Party!

We’re still organizing this event and will announce the full details beginning of January. Information regarding the times and locations of the 3 stops will only be made available to LOEBMWR members. Hope to see you there!

Thanks to our 3 hosts. First stop at Mo’s was cold but otherwise good with hot coffee and goodies to stoke the internal body furnace and help warm up.

Second stop at Rob and Jenny’s was good temps and good food.

Third stop at Tom and Liza’s was great temps, great food and a valued amount of discussion at the club meeting.

The drive out to Mo’s place was just fine. Cedar Crest had sand applied so the highway was dry or wet, not slippery. In Paako, admittedly, the road had some crusty snow (23 degrees, after all) but passable in a car and Karl rode his bike with no issues. Easy on the throttle, no sudden moves, no knee scrapping cornering and all is good.

Thanks to all our great hosts (Mo, Rob, and Tom/Eliza) for another pleasant and fun social/meeting/eating Progressive Breakfast! RJ 😉

Oh I’m driving.  Just was hoping people were aware.  I had been planning on riding.  I don’t live far from stop 2 hoping to get bike before that stop but should be able to get it afterwards.

Has anyone else noticed that there is a winter storm warning in effect for Cedar Crest Sat 5am – Sun 5am?  Kindof thinking riding might not be the best idea I ever had!

Your point is well taken…as previously suggested, if weather conditions don’t support riding then drive your car to one or more of the stops instead. Overall we want everyone to attend and to be safe getting to the 3 breakfast stops.

Weather should be good enough to ride to the 3rd and final stop if not the 2nd stop too.

Concerned about the weather this Sunday??

This is a ‘rain or shine’ event – if you’re not comfortable riding your bike, drive your car.

We would like to see everyone there regardless of weather conditions.

We have our volunteer homes for the three Progressive Breakfast stops – many thanks to those three member families that volunteered to host us this year!

The locations and approximate start times for the three stops have been provided to all our members in a news blast emailed to our members last week. If you did not receive it please let activities@loebmwr.org know and we’ll resend that information to you once we’ve confirmed your membership.

If your membership has lapsed you’ll need to renew prior to the Progressive Breakfast or, as a last resort, pay your dues at the first Progressive Breakfast stop you attend.

CLICK HERE to RSVP (required) for this event.
