I used this place a couple of years ago to replace the zipper in a BMW tail bag. He did a great job. Located in the Nob Hill area as I recall. http://abqrepair.com

I've used him in the past for tankbag and jacket repair. He did a good job.

That was me many years ago in this forum. Sadly, the lady died a few years ago :( and I don't know of anyone else in the area doing that kind of work. You might have some luck doing a Google search for a local seamstress who works on leather and heavy jackets. It's a tricky skill but a life-(and money) saver when you can find a person that does a good secure job installing a new zipper.

Zipper repair

Postby David Wilson » Mon Jun 22, 2020 10:59 am

I saw a post here a while back regarding a gear repair person, and am trying to find them or another recommended repair person. I have some boots and a couple of jackets that need repairs to zippers and snaps. Thanks in advance for all your great references!
