Thanks for posting that on my behalf Sandy!

I registered when the forum was having issues, and had to re-register. Looking forward to the ride.

Mike Settlage is going to lead a dirt ride in the Jemez this Saturday. Here is Mike's description of his ride:

SAFE, RESPECTFUL, SPIRITED pace (once off the pavement). 85 mile loop on mostly unpaved forest service roads. Kick Stands up at 10:00. Arrive at the Philips 66 on NM 4 in Jemez by 9:45 for pre-ride safety brief.

* No gas on route, you'll need a range of 90 miles to be safe.
* Carry drinking water with you.
* The route is suitable for big bikes, but you may have to maintain an aggressive pace to keep up.
* Ride your ride. Don't ride beyond your comfort zone.
* We will stop for lunch at Hidden Valley Sporting Goods. You probably want to bring some food. Not sure about their menu.
* If the group wants, we may add a more rocky out and back on FS 376 north of NM 126.

Route starts at the Gas station in Jemez Pueblo, then we take FS 376 through Gilman tunnels to 126. Heading west on NM 126 to NM 144, then FS 314 back to NM 126. Follow 126 to near NM 4 for lunch. Follow NM 126 to FS 10 down through Ponderosa and back to NM 4 1 mile south of the starting point.

Test out your ride modes!
