Wow! Its the end of the first week of the Riding Challenge and already 6 Riders have made a total of 48 rider-post office visits! Kudos to Jack Dannenberg, John Dillon, Jeffery Foster, Jens Deichmann, Amy Ballard and Yours Truly for getting out and enjoying some lovely New Mexico winter riding weather. I attribute the high participation this week to the warm temperatures in the eastern half of the state where temps approached 70 degrees with plenty of sunshine.

I took advantage of the lovely weather today to toodle down to the post office in Torreon for a photo shoot. I chatted with the postmaster for a bit. At 2 in the afternoon, he had sold one book of stamps all day. I allowed as how I hoped he wasn't paid on commission.

The 2022 Riding Challenge starts right now! This year’s challenge will have you riding a lot of great motorcycle roads to 52 post offices located mostly in small communities spread out all around our beautiful state. Enjoy the ride!

Here are a bunch of resources to help you achieve your goal of riding to all 52 post offices:

Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

The rules are the same as in previous years:
    - Ride to the post office on your motorcycle and take a picture of you, your bike, and the post office building or sign.
    - The name of the post office must be legible in the photo.
    - Send your pictures to ridingchallenge@loembwr.org
    - Photos must be received by midnight Sunday November 6, 2022 (the day that daylight savings time ends).
    - Winners will be recognized at the club Christmas party in December 2022.
    - You must be a club member to win. You can join at https://loebmwr.org/JoinRenew.aspx
    - This is not a race! Everyone who rides to all the post offices will share the glory and receive a prize. Folks who make it to a substantial number of sites will receive an honorable mention.
Check the club forum and/or Facebook page from time to time for any updates or corrections. If you encounter any issues such as mislocated post offices or road closures, please post the information on the forum and/or the Facebook page for the benefit of other Challenge Riders.
