I seriously doubt there will be an issue. We have the specific picnic site reserved.

I recall a few years back during our picnic when there was a large group on the NW side of the park in their own picnic area, seem to recall seeing a lot of MTB. Probably will be the same thing again this year. Our picnic site is just inside the entrance and theirs was a ways around the back.

We weren't informed of the MTB (mountain biking) race by the Cibola National Forest, so we can only hope it won't be a problem. Our location is the Yucca group area while the race headquarters is several yards NW of us. It may get a little busy but up and down the road to our site which they will be using to and from the headquarters, but the mountain bikers are racing the off-road single track trails north, west, and southwest of us. It'll add a little spice and interest to our modest picnic. But if the MTB people want, we can have some of our dirt riders join in and win the race! Just kidding. We'll check on that, but we should be fine.

That's the same day as a MTB race at the same location. I'll already be there for the race, so that date works for me, but are you going to run into a conflict with reserving a campground?

It's never too early to anticipate our Annual Club Birthday Picnic at Oak Flats group area in the Manzanos (MAP). So get ready for August 5th, starting at 11 am! Plan what you'll bring for our usual potluck (such as chips, dips, side dishes like veggies, salad, etc. or dessert). Burgers, brats, buns, plates, utencils and drinks are provided by the club. We also have one of our official club meetings and the final sign-up for Rally volunteers.
