1) There will be no Texas BBQ Thursday evening. A great big thanks to our Texas contigent of members who sponsored this out of their generosity for the past several years! We'll miss the goodies but I'll bet they won't miss the hard work.

2) The following is a road construction alert coming from Paul and Voni Glaves. Note the road numbers since this will only impact those arriving from the east.
Paul says: "We rode to Mora from Angel Fire today. The actual closing of 434 is at
the bridge one block south of 518 in Mora. The detour is a 1.8 mile
hard packed dirt road that takes off about 1.4 miles north of Mora, and
connects with 518 about 1.5 miles west of the 434/518 intersection.
It is a hard packed dirt road with minimal rock surface. There is some
washboard, but not a lot. We encountered a bit of mud at the road edges
but it was easy to avoid. It could be surface slick in a rainstorm. It
is a decent detour identified as El Alto Middle Road on Google Maps."
3) If you're bringing your RV/camper pickup/camper trailer you'll need to reserve a spot for $25 if you haven't already. No parking of RVs (including "dry" camping) along the main parking lot. RV spaces will be at the west end of the property.
4) Free tent camping is in the area immediately south of the Lodge (across the river), or in the area south of the main parking lot, or in the meadow grassy area west of the cabins and RV spots. NO CAMPING SOUTH OF THE RIVER AND WEST OF THE CHAIR LIFTS--due to property and forest service regulations. Restrooms are available in the SW corner of the Lodge and showers during the day only are up in the bunk rooms on the 3rd floor--please don't go first thing in the morning or late at night, people may be sleeping in the bunk beds!

5) GPX maps of self-guided rides in the area will be available on micro SD cards for you to borrow and download into your GPS. Paper maps will also be available as usual.
Share this with anyone you know who's going to the rally. Thanks, RJ
