Time to Build a Fire!

 8)

If you just read my response to Reid's impromptu, this is something of a repeat.

Because NM weather is always a little iffy to predict and count on, impromptu rides are a great way to get broader and more enthusiastic participation on a more regular basis. Events like Robert's "Ice Cream Ride" are the best of club events, but day in and day out, we just want to ride... "whenever and wherever."

To allow you to know when such a ride is coming up or any other forum topic is posted, you need to get on the index page of your favorite forum topic (such as "Impromptu Rides," General Commentary," "For Sale & Wanted Item," etc.), go to the bottom of that topic's index page and click on the words, "subscribe forum" (ignore the fact it is checked, that doesn't mean anything...don't ask why, I didn't invent this forum!) and then you'll be alerted by email whenever anyone posts a new topic on a subject you're interested in especially when a new impromptu ride (or whatever) is posted. When you've done this the check mark will turn into an "X" which means you're in business!

So if the weather in a day or so looks good and you want some riding companions, post your idea with destination, time and place of departure, a spot for lunch, approximate return time, and see who shows up!

We have a window of decent weather right now, don't let it go to waste!
