:(

I met "Brooklyn Pete" when he joined LOEBMWR upon moving to New Mexico. He first made contact with us by joining this Forum while still living in Brooklyn and asked questions about living and riding his BMW motorcycle in New Mexico. Encouraged by our comments and welcoming nature, he soon moved to Rio Rancho and became an active member (serving as vice-president for a while) and one of our inexhaustable long-distance riders. He had many BMW rider friends all around the country. However, when health issues prevented him from continuing to ride, which was a huge disappointment to him, he moved on to pursue his other interests. I did keep in contact with him online and occasionaly in person until Covid grounded us last year.

I did not hear of his passing until I saw it in yesterday's paper. His memorial service is today, March 1st, 7 pm at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1500 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

Godspeed, Pete!
