Good news, Jon. I think with responsible handling, we can start to do some things as a club and still stay safe. As far as I know, no one in our club has been positive for the covid. Let us know if anyone is or has been positive.

BTW, anyone who doesn't mind some old guy driving a red Miata joining in on a day ride, let me know and I'll to join in as well participating in a few initial events that Jon described. We can be safe and still have fun!

Looks Like Things are Opening UP !

Postby Jonh » Mon Jun 08, 2020 9:16 am

Looks like things are starting to open up as of 6-7-20. It appears in my travels that hotels and restaurants are following the official guidelines and offering full service with limited seating and room occupancy. Two of our Breakfast Groups have resumed meeting, and the Coffee Shop in Ceder Crest had over 20 bikes show up this last Sunday.

I miss the Traveling Breakfast, Lunches, Dirt Bag Rides, and the Camp and Rides that the Club organized. ( By the way thank you Sandy B for your great effort as Activities CZAR ) . Hopefully the Club picnic in August will not be cancelled by Oak Flats. ( and thanks to Moe M as VP for his effort in setting it up) . The Rally in September has been cancelled, but many of our Club members are still going to meet at Sipapu and make a fun weekend of it as an unofficial Rally. Some members have said they are going up for Saturday only, while some will be staying in Taos.

I will be getting with the Board members with a discussion on when we can resume our activities, and will keep you informed.
